I first got on a horse at two years old and started to take lessons when I was six. I have loved the sport as far back as my memory goes. When I started showing I was apart of the 4-H Circuit. I then went into the HJ Fox Circuit, and now I show with Cheryl and Co and IEA. I train with Julie Mohr and Suzanne Jones at BritMohr Farm. Both of them have molded me into the rider I am today. Both of my coaches also coach the IEA team, Legacy Equestrian. The team has taught me so much about Sportsmanship and perseverance. I now show with my seven-year-old, off the track thoroughbred, Charles Finley. We have both learned so much from each other, and this year we have moved up to jumping 2’9 hunter. Some of my achievements for IEA and showing with my horse are, 2024 Zone Sportsmanship award winner and Reserve Champion for Thoroughbred Hunter at the April 6th – 7th Cheryl and Co North show.
I am currently a Junior at Cherokee High School in Canton, Georgia. A long with my commitment to my sport, I am also committed to my school life. My current GPA is a 3.57. I am in mostly honors and AP classes. Some of my favorite classes that I am taking this year are Zoology and Honors Anatomy. These classes correlate to what I want to be, which is an Equine Veterinarian. I have always wanted to be a vet, but my love of horses influenced me to want to become an equine one.
Having the ability to be able to ride for IHSA in college would be incredible and would be able to help me move forward in my equine career. I am looking forward to finding the college and team that fits me best. The equestrian sport has influenced me in so many ways. It has made me determined, a hard worker, and a team player. I look forward to finding out what my next team and barn will teach me. I cannot wait to find the team that is the perfect fit for me!
